First 'complete family' pic

I just posted this on Lita's Life, but thought I would share it here. My fellow scrappers will understand my excitement over a good family photo! lol

Emily is 18 months old and we still hadn't managed a family pic. So, since we were all dressed up today for SIL's wedding, I figured what better timing!! I usually hate being in photos or even looking at pics of myself, but I cannot stop looking at this - I LOVE it! So I'm sharing it here - my family is gorgeous and I just wanted to brag!

And a black and white version too - all scrappers know the beauty of a b&w photo! lol
Thanks for stopping by!

Cherish the Cheekiness

A simple layout of my DD#1. I used papers and colours that I normally wouldn't buy but I love them now. Although you can't tell in the pic, I also used my new favourite product - Glossy Accents! I highlighted the word Cherish with it and IRL it looks lush. So shiny and purrdy!

Materials: Chatterbox, BasicGrey & Making Memories pp, Bazill cardstock, Dew Drop fluid chalk in Perfect Plumeria, Heidi Swapp and Bella florals, Theresa Collins journalling tag, misc brads.

Tim Holtz Technique Class

I attended a class today called "Tim's Techniques Tuesday" run by the lovely Karen of Kazmos Kreations.

I had a ball!! We embossed, distressed, inked, paint dabbed and used glassy accents and I got all messy and loved every second of it!!
Gals (& guys-Tim doesn't discriminate!), if you are local to Karen's amazing workshop you have got to sign up for her classes - they are brilliant! Karen has a great teaching style and is a very cluey lady - I'd love to scrap with her and pick her brain! And if you're lucky Sally might be there too - another talented & fun gal!
Head on over to Kazmo's and have a look around. The prices are great, the site is a breeze to use and the range is jaw dropping - biggest Tim selection I've seen in Aus!

SU...the aftermath

Well, my SU workshop has been and gone - and I had a great time!

It was a wonky handday for me, so I was a little worried about how I'd manage lol But the cards I made are at least passable and I had a fantastic time seeing all the goodies. I have a couple of things coming my way too and I can't wait to play!

I did, however, discover that I'm just not cut out for using the wheels! LOL

Hoping to get a card or layout (or both) posted over the next day or two, so stay tuned :)

Stampin Up!

I'm hosting a Stampin Up! workshop at my place tomorrow and can't wait!

I've never been to a workshop before, but I have used & purchased SU products and stamps and I love them! So of course, the next logical step is a workshop :) I think we'll be looking at the Wheels which should be great as I haven't seen those in action before.

But of course, with this pleasure comes pain....

Which set to choose??? Unfrogettable...Loads of Love...Garden Whimsy...Baroque Motifs...Season of Joy...
And then there's the inks...Pomegranate, River Rock, Perfect Plum...the lists goes on and on
And don't even getme started on the papers....

Ouch, my wallet is hurting already :D Isn't it great?!

Unique

I saw a fantastic layout on Scrapshare, done by Cowtown Stacy, and I decided to adapt it to suit my materials. I am so happy with it and just had to share!
The title says - "I am special. I am unique. I am ME" The 'dymo' words are : individual, cheeky, mischief, adventurous, daring, bubbly and charming.
And the gorgeous gal in the pic? My eldest daughter Haylee, last year on her 4th birthday :)

Olive Love

I actually went into this with the intention of making a masculine card, and yet again I ended up with something girly. Ack! Why oh why do I find it so hard to make masculine cards? Hmpf!
Anyway, here's what I came up with. Love this colour combination!!
Again the pic isn't great, but for those that don't know me, I have a problem with my hands, and as it turns out, today is not a good day for them. The result - blurry pic from my wonky hands. Sorry bout that.

Materials: SU cardstock 'Old Olive' & 'Chocolate Chip', Kaisercraft patterned paper, SU stamps from sets: 'Noteworthy' & 'French Script BG', American Crafts ribbon, Versamark ink, popdots

A bit of a personal challenge - I hate bright reds and yellow but really wanted to try something new. And I must say - I really like them!
