First 'complete family' pic

I just posted this on Lita's Life, but thought I would share it here. My fellow scrappers will understand my excitement over a good family photo! lol

Emily is 18 months old and we still hadn't managed a family pic. So, since we were all dressed up today for SIL's wedding, I figured what better timing!! I usually hate being in photos or even looking at pics of myself, but I cannot stop looking at this - I LOVE it! So I'm sharing it here - my family is gorgeous and I just wanted to brag!

And a black and white version too - all scrappers know the beauty of a b&w photo! lol
Thanks for stopping by!

A wedding card - with a difference

This is definitely not the kind of card I would generally make for the average wedding. But it is my SIL's wedding tomorrow and she is anything but average. She's wearing a black dress with red highlights - so I though this card worked for her lol

Materials: CM cardstock, Basic Grey pp, sentiment from SU Baroque Motifs, Versa ink in Pinecone, Prima flower, Kaisercraft bling, misc lace & ribbon.

Cherish the Cheekiness

A simple layout of my DD#1. I used papers and colours that I normally wouldn't buy but I love them now. Although you can't tell in the pic, I also used my new favourite product - Glossy Accents! I highlighted the word Cherish with it and IRL it looks lush. So shiny and purrdy!

Materials: Chatterbox, BasicGrey & Making Memories pp, Bazill cardstock, Dew Drop fluid chalk in Perfect Plumeria, Heidi Swapp and Bella florals, Theresa Collins journalling tag, misc brads.

Tim Holtz Technique Class

I attended a class today called "Tim's Techniques Tuesday" run by the lovely Karen of Kazmos Kreations.

I had a ball!! We embossed, distressed, inked, paint dabbed and used glassy accents and I got all messy and loved every second of it!!
Gals (& guys-Tim doesn't discriminate!), if you are local to Karen's amazing workshop you have got to sign up for her classes - they are brilliant! Karen has a great teaching style and is a very cluey lady - I'd love to scrap with her and pick her brain! And if you're lucky Sally might be there too - another talented & fun gal!
Head on over to Kazmo's and have a look around. The prices are great, the site is a breeze to use and the range is jaw dropping - biggest Tim selection I've seen in Aus!

SU...the aftermath

Well, my SU workshop has been and gone - and I had a great time!

It was a wonky handday for me, so I was a little worried about how I'd manage lol But the cards I made are at least passable and I had a fantastic time seeing all the goodies. I have a couple of things coming my way too and I can't wait to play!

I did, however, discover that I'm just not cut out for using the wheels! LOL

Hoping to get a card or layout (or both) posted over the next day or two, so stay tuned :)

Stampin Up!

I'm hosting a Stampin Up! workshop at my place tomorrow and can't wait!

I've never been to a workshop before, but I have used & purchased SU products and stamps and I love them! So of course, the next logical step is a workshop :) I think we'll be looking at the Wheels which should be great as I haven't seen those in action before.

But of course, with this pleasure comes pain....

Which set to choose??? Unfrogettable...Loads of Love...Garden Whimsy...Baroque Motifs...Season of Joy...
And then there's the inks...Pomegranate, River Rock, Perfect Plum...the lists goes on and on
And don't even getme started on the papers....

Ouch, my wallet is hurting already :D Isn't it great?!

Dance Among The Flowers

I altered this quite some time ago but don't recall sharing here it is now! The clipboard has a large magnet on the back so it lives on my fridge as a notepad holder. Slight glare on the rubon - sorry bout that!

Materials: Bella brand clipboard and flowers, Basic Grey "Sultry" papers and rubon, Catseye fluid chalk in Chestnut Roan, random ribbon, buttons and fibre.

I saw a fantastic layout on Scrapshare, done by Cowtown Stacy, and I decided to adapt it to suit my materials. I am so happy with it and just had to share!
The title says - "I am special. I am unique. I am ME" The 'dymo' words are : individual, cheeky, mischief, adventurous, daring, bubbly and charming.
And the gorgeous gal in the pic? My eldest daughter Haylee, last year on her 4th birthday :)

Me & My Moo

Got my mojo back lately and am really enjoying scrapping again :) Thought I'd share a couple of my recent efforts.

Haylee and I, on Christmas Day 2005. Love this pic, gets me all mushy every time I see it lol

This one is also Christmas Day 2005 and is Haylee again, in her ballerina outfit that santa bought for her :) So cute!

Materials: BasicGrey paper and rubons - both from Two Scoops range. Also uses Primas, Bazzil brads and Kaiser bling, misc ribbon

Pursuit of Scrappyness

This is the title page for my Book Of Me. I usually wouldn't use this many embellishments, but since it is a title page I went nuts! lol No materials list this time- they're is just too much to list! But, if you are after details, just ask :)

Olive Love

I actually went into this with the intention of making a masculine card, and yet again I ended up with something girly. Ack! Why oh why do I find it so hard to make masculine cards? Hmpf!
Anyway, here's what I came up with. Love this colour combination!!
Again the pic isn't great, but for those that don't know me, I have a problem with my hands, and as it turns out, today is not a good day for them. The result - blurry pic from my wonky hands. Sorry bout that.

Materials: SU cardstock 'Old Olive' & 'Chocolate Chip', Kaisercraft patterned paper, SU stamps from sets: 'Noteworthy' & 'French Script BG', American Crafts ribbon, Versamark ink, popdots

So Nice!

A very simple card, that probably took all of 5 minutes to make.

Materials: SU 'Summer Sun' cardstock, unkown PP, SU sentiment from 'Smorgasborders', Heidi Swapp flower, Versamark Ink

Laced With Love

This is my first little play with lace and I must say I love it!

Materials: Bazzil cardstock, unkown PP, Versacolour cube ink in Pinecone, Grungeboard, American Crafts velour ricrac, random lace from my stash

Bashful Blue Friendship

Felt like stepping away from my usual pinks and girlys, so picked up some SU! cardstock in Bashful Blue - and here is the result

Materials: SU Bashful Blue & Whisper White cardstock, Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embosser, Dew Drop fluid chalk in Aspen Mist and SU stamp from Friendship Blooms. No idea on the PP sorry

The Eyes Have It

My darling daughter Emily :)

This page was a result of drooling over Scrapnmum's layouts - thanks Toni! After looking at Toni's amazing work I was inspired to try something a little different, and here is the result!

Materials: BasicGrey, Jenni Bowlin , Heidi Swapp florals, Prima, BasicGrey brads, Grungeboard, Kindyglitz, Dew Drop fluid chalk, CM velum quote, misc ribbon.

Love is the Key

I made this card as part of a challenge I posted on Scrapshare. The original sketch came from Got Sketch? by Valerie Salmon and this is my take on it. Thanks for looking!

Another iffy pic - maybe one day i'll get a good one! lol

Materials: SU cardstock Ruby Red (?), BasicGrey PP 'Devotion' & Jenni Bowlin's 'Vintage' range. Dew drop fluid chalk 'Jumbo Java'. Grungeboard, Heidi Swap flowers, misc fibre adn metal bits.

Friends Give Full Colour to Life

Another older item - a gift I made for a friend :) It is intended to be used to hold an A5 notepad

Materials: Kelly Pannaci papers, Prima & Bella flowers, FTI brads, CM vellum quote, MM paint, Versaink 'Umber' and misc ribbons

Sweet Treats Tin

I altered this small tin and filled it with choccies as part of a Secret Santa swap last christmas.

Materials: Kelly Pannacci papers, Bella and Prima flowers, FTI brads, Bazzil cardstock, random ribbons

Bright Birthday's

A bit of a personal challenge - I hate bright reds and yellow but really wanted to try something new. And I must say - I really like them!
All feature pieces of cardstock the have been embossed using Cuttlebugs 'Swiss Dots' but unfortunatley the photos don't pick that up too well

Materials: SU cardstock: Barely Banana, Real Red & Whisper White. BasicGrey patterned paper: Cupcake 'Candles'. Cuttlebug 'Swiss Dots' embossing folder. Stamps: Kaisercraft (horizontal) & Heidi Swapp (vertical). Dew drop chalk ink in Red Brick, Bazill brad, & misc ribbon

Tinted Thank You's

Not my usual style but I'm trying different things :) I'm loving the 'tinted' kind of softness about these cards.
I have used Stampin Up! French Script background that is difficult to see in the photo but looks divine IRL.
*Drat - last pic is a little blurry. Hope you can still get the general idea!

Materials: SU Cardstock: Pretty in Pink, Blush Blosson & Whisper White. SU stamps: French Script & Best Barcodes. Basic Grey patterned paper: Lilykate "Chenille". Dew Drop chalk ink in Pixie Dust & Versamark watermark ink. Bazill brads, Kaisercraft pearls, Prima flowers & misc. ribbon.

Friendship Blooms

Thought I'd share a couple of my 'Friendship' cards here - though I must first state that the colour isn't the greatest. Hard to get it right when using a scanner, but here goes anyway :) Ribbon colour especially, is quite washed out.

Materials: Stampin Up set - 'Friendship Blooms', Stampin Up cardstock in Close to Cocoa & Pretty in Pink, patterned is Basic Grey 'Classy' from the Sultry Range, ink- Chestnut Roan chalk ink by Colorbox, misc. ribbon from my stash. Card 3 uses Cuttlebug Swiss Dot embosser, Prima flowers, Bazill brads, pop dots
